Settling on a College Degree Program
By kathrynv on Aug 27, 2008 in Education
My little sister recently finished up her associates degree in general education and now she is trying to decide what type of degree to pursue next. She seems to be immobilized by all of the choices that are available to her. One day I’ll talk to her and she’ll tell me that she’s looking into doing a second associates degree such as the healthcare associate degree program at SBC Fenton MO. The next day she’s talking about getting her bachelor’s degree in education or psychology. Because she doesn’t really know what she wants to do, she really isn’t doing anything at all.
The problem with this is that you’re never going to know exactly what the right educational path is for you unless you happen to be one of those people who knew what you wanted to do from the time that you were little. Most of us aren’t like that so at some point we just have to make a move, choose a degree program and see whether or not it works out for us. Trial and error isn’t the best approach to choosing a college degree path but sometimes it’s the only approach that actually makes sense to those of us living in the real world!
