When I was planning my wedding, we discussed using scented candles as wedding decorations.  Although I decided not to put candles on the table myself, I do think it’s a great idea and would be very appropriate decorations for a wedding.

Here are some ideas for decorating with candles at your wedding:

• Placing scented jar candles in the middle of each table’s centerpiece.  I’ve seen beautiful centerpieces done with floral arrangements, even pinecones.
• Use candle arrangements for lighting.  Candlebras make beautiful table decorations, and candlelight will set a romantic glow during dinner.
• Use aromatherapy candles to give off a scent that will complement your decor.  Like romantic lighting, aromatherapy also helps you to set a certain mood for your wedding and reception.
• Use a unity candle in your wedding ceremony.  A unity candle isn’t exactly decoration, but it’s a nice tradition and another beautiful way to incorporate candles into your wedding.

Candles have long been believed to be beautiful, and although we really don’t need them to light our dinner tables anymore, it’s become a romantic tradition to do so.  Scented candles have only added more beauty to that tradition.  Candles make a fine touch to any wedding and reception!
