Adding to the Tradition

Since Missy was a puppy, six years ago, I have always dressed her up for Halloween. It always amused the kids that came to my house for candy and I always had fun finding the perfect dog costumes for her. She has been many things over the years and I have a lot of older kids coming to my door just to see what I had dressed Missy up as.
As a new mother, I had considered not dressing her up this year, as I had so much to do. But, I thought about how disappointed the kids were going to be when they came to the door to find just a dog waiting to greet them. I quickly decided that I needed to do it for the kids and I remembered seeing some really cute fairy costumes that would be a perfect fit for Missy.
Then I got the idea to add to the old tradition. I thought it would be cute if I could find some infant Halloween costumes and dress up the baby to match Missy’s costume. I knew that this would amuse the kids all that much more. I found the baby a fairy costume and it was a big hit. It kept me busy and I nearly forgot to buy the candy for the kids. I am glad that I decided to go ahead with it because the kids loved it and I think the day is all about them. Who am I to mess with Halloween tradition?
